FRIKAR dance company - exploring gravity - extending human nature

Basing on "down to earth"- focused movement techniques FRIKAR dance company has since 2006 developed an unique environment for untamed wilderness on and off dance stages. The Oslo based company performs both with traditional halling, break dance, capoeira, sircus but also with choreographer Hallgrim Hansegårds dance techniques based on the named genres and the research on gravity and the extremities of human nature. In 2009 FRIKAR has performed 150 times including its outdoor big scale production TidarÅ, concert with Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, the premiere "YR" at Bergen International Art Festival and touring 20 European countries with live and TV shows. FRIKAR was sencurated by the catolic church on Italy tour 2008 for its unsencurated interpretation of Peer Gynt. Founded by Hallgrim Hansegård in 2006.
